Hello! I am Chelsea Rose and I own Rose Macarons, a specialty macaron small bakery located in Newport, Rhode Island.
Originally self-taught, I spent some time attending Johnson and Wales University to work towards a Baking and Pastry Arts degree through the Continuing Education program. Life interrupted the degree as family and business needed more attention.
Rose Macarons started as a homebaking business in 2016 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I was already in the art market system with handmade jewelry and paintings, but was becoming obsessed with the challenge of macarons and the variety of flavors and designs possible. When the play, The Cursed Child, was published, I was sparked to create custom-shaped macarons and approached a few local venues about collaborating for their release events. It was an awesome experience and I've been hooked since!

My husband is in the Navy and we have an awesome little boy and a loving pup, aptly named Mac (short for Macaron).
As a military family, we move around a fair amount and I plan to take my baking business with me as it evolves and adapts to each of our new homes. The business currently does a good portion of sales as a mail order service - sending macarons directly to the homes of our fans gained from Florida, Virginia and now Rhode Island. In 2020, I hope to grow our staff and offer more baked goods on a more regular basis to our local community.
